At BJF we are continuously researching across Australian and around the world for sires that fit our breeding criteria, focusing on high performance, early maturity and docility. A selection of sires from Canada and Australia are currently being used, all of which are Homozygous Polled.

Purchased with The Downfall and Storm King Limousin studs in 2022, Radium is our Homozygous Poll Homozygous Black herd sire.
We use him for his growth, docility, carcase weight, eye muscle area, and intramuscular fat.
BJF Chunk Dan
Homozygous Polled | AA
Chunk Dan is a powerfully built home bred sire who is being used as our senior herd sire at BJF.
We use Chunk Dan to improve scrotal size, foot structure, temperament and thickness.
BJF Chunk Champion
Heterozygous Polled | AA
Chunk Champion is one of the standout bulls in our 2021 sales and semen is being used in our herd. He is a very long bull with a very deep and wide hind-quarter.
We use Chunk Champion to improve eye muscle area, carcase weight and milk flow in females.
Homozygous Polled | AA
Chunk is a sire who has bred really well for us, we are using sons; BJF Chunk Dan and BJF Chunk Champion, and continue to use Chunk himself.
We are using due to his large scrotal size, big eye muscle, high intramuscular fat and high docility. Reserve champion bull at Agribition 2017.
