About Us

BJF Limousin is a family owned business passionate about breeding quality Limousin cattle as seedstock and also processing them through our local butcher in Yarraman.

After trialling many other breeds in the infancy of our butcher shop in 2004 we decided to settle on Limousin due to their high carcase yields and fine grained tender meat.

In our seedstock business we are committed to producing easy doing animals that can finish quickly with high yield and good fat cover to meet market specifications. Sound, functional females with good feet and legs, high fertility, good temperament and adequate milk flow is our focus.

We are currently using selected North American and Australian sires to complement our female herd which is based on strong consistent breeding cow families with deep pedigrees.

Each year along with other invited vendors we offer the cream of our bulls, a select group of females and some potential led steers at our sale in mid August. Check out the sales page for more details.
